How to Change the Font in Your Instagram Bio
Updated
Instagram uses one font for everyone, but you can make your bio and display name look different by pasting Unicode letters from another “font”.
Steps
- Type your bio text on the home page to see it in every style at once.
- Press Copy on the style you like.
- In Instagram, go to your profile → Edit profile → Bio (or Name), paste, and save.
Styles that work well in bios
- Cursive — elegant and personal; bold cursive is easier to read on small screens.
- Small caps — clean and minimalist.
- Bold sans-serif — great for a headline line like your job or niche.
- Aesthetic / vaporwave — wide, retro letters.
Things to know
- Your username can’t be styled. Usernames only accept letters, numbers, periods and underscores. Your display name can use fancy text, but it may make you harder to find in search.
- Mix styles sparingly. One styled line plus normal text is easier to read than a whole bio of fancy letters.
- Line breaks: if Instagram removes your empty lines, use the line break generator.
- More styles: Instagram fonts has the full list, and aesthetic fonts adds cute decorations like ˚₊‧꒰ა ໒꒱ ‧₊˚.
